Government is sanctioned by God, and there are several forms ranging from dictatorships to democracies and everything in between. The United States government is a representational constitutional republic, and while Scripture is not directly referenced in either federal or state laws, it’s obvious that the guidelines for those laws have a primarily biblical origin. We examine how closely, or how far removed, we have maintained adherence to those original principles and guidelines.
