Mark Wilson Stockman

I, Mark Stockman, am the owner and editor ot TruthAnchor. I’m originally from the SE United States (Florida) and lived there for 50 years, which is where I met and married my beautiful wife. While we had more than 20 years of the Sunshine State under our belts, we migrated to the greater Kansas City area a few years ago so that she and I could be near her parents and family. Good thing we did so because her father passed away a couple years ago. God has a sense of timing that you won’t find anywhere else.

I have ‘been saved’ for over three decades. I have been a church member, missionary worker (not a missionary!), teacher, facilitator and youth pastor. I have seen many things within the organized Christian church – both for good and ill – and have had the great blessing of being able to take part in many various aspects of  ‘the ministry.’ I don’t consider myself as belonging to any one Christian denomination, but instead, I look for the strengths that come from each style of worship and service to God. The only stipulation is that whatever is done has to line up with the Word of God. Everything else is not quite so important to me. As far as education is concerned I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with almost 20 years of experience in the health care field. Much of that time was spent in various supervisory positions with specialty certifications in Critical Care. I also have a Master of Divinity degree.

Listed here are a few qualities which I esteem very highly, and these will be used as guidelines for the articles and offerings provided here at Truth Anchor. I promise to try and ensure these values are always kept foremost in everything we do, and by doing so I hope to build confidence and dependability in what is being put forth. I will abide by these principles, and so will anyone else who posts here.

Truth involves holding facts – especially God’s Word – above personal biases and propensities. Here at TruthAnchor, if something put out by us is ever found to be untruthful then it will be rectified immediately. No deceit, no tricks, no subterfuge.

Dedication involves the application of effort to get positive results, especially when that application of effort is difficult or challenging. It also involves making sure that once something is started it gets finished. The trend in the world is toward more and more instant gratification, and the cost for that is usually a lack of dedication. We won’t be doing that here at TruthAnchor.

Respect is the estimation of worth granted to all individuals, both to me and the people I serve through my personal and professional life. There will always be individuals who disagree with what you say, and that is their right. However, if I am to present the Word of God and a godly attitude then respect is the best way to go about approaching others, even and especially if we don’t see eye to eye on things.

Consistency is the steadfast reliability we here at TruthAnchor employ when fulfilling the obligations, tasks, and commitments I have undertaken. Dependability and consistency are traits that show an excellence of character.

Finally, the defining Scripture for everyone involved with TruthAnchor is this;

 2 Tim 2:15-16

 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.   NKJV

God bless you as you draw closer to Him, and I pray He uses this effort to help you in your journey!
